My floor project.

Before: This is how it looked after we removed the carpeting. I had already started to remove some of the varnish on the left side.

This is how it looked after I finishing stripping the varnish with 3M safest stripper.

This is after hours of sanding. We rented an orbital sander with 3 rotating disks.

And done!!! It still has a lot of character and its far from perfect. I enjoy wondering about the different things that have happened to this floor over the past 100 years. What are all of the different spots and stains from?

So many times we have done projects and forgotten to take pictures and wished we had when it was all done. Now, what am I going to do about trim and paint? :)

Wow what a brave, brave woman you are!
I need to do the same to my house but I might have to pay someone to do it. It's really a large area!

Look great though.

Wow, that's alot of work. I hope you mean a walk behind sander when you say orbit sander, and not a hand orbit sander! YIKES! lol
